We heard too late about going to the Krystal. I wish we had gone there, they said it was wonderful!

I've done two excursions in Puerto Villarta that I booked through the cruise ship (Carnival).

The Canopy (Zip Line) was great. Just the shuttle getting out to where you start was interesting. There was a storm that wiped out part of the roads the week before. We've done one other zip line in Hawaii and it didn't compare at all. This one in Puerto Villarta goes for a long time and they make you feel very secure.

The other excursion that was a blast was the Pirate Dinner Cruise. Lot's of dancing, music, drinks, dinner. It was withing walking distance from the cruise ship. They offer an afternoon version that is better for kids.

Have fun!

We signed up for the Canopy Adventure through HAL. We will be there the first week of February. How scary will it be? How old can people be and do this?

People of all ages were doing it. It's very exciting. You'll love it. I was a little nervous but it was easy. They have a great group of people that run it. Someone is always close by and they check your straps constantly. Just keep your feet up and go fast. Otherwise, you're pulling yourself to the end with your hands.

I've just reread the cruise tour booklet about the Canopy Adventure and noticed that it says to wear close-toed shoes. Okay, but my preferred sneakers are open backed, clog style. Will such shoes be fine or are they likely to fall off?

Irene, I think I woud wear regular sneakers, just in case. You wouldn't want to go around with only one shoe, now would you?

That's right. Since you can't get anything you drop. They even discourage you from bringing your camera. So make sure you have a good strap it if you take it. There is also a little hike back to the starting point so you'll need something you can hike in.

The link to the Canopy Adventure was great, thanks for posting it. I'd never have thought to pack a sweatshirt, otherwise, and reading the comments including the 85 year old man's made me feel comfortable.

I've read several people have enjoyed the Pirate Dinner Cruise in Cabo. This sounds like something our traveling companions, DH and I would enjoy. Has anyone booked this outside of the cruise line and do you have a website to direct me to? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
