Thread: WARNING - BEWARE of the payphones at the dock in PV!!

When I was on a 10-day cruise to Mexico on the Radiance of the Seas in mid-December - one of our stops was at Puerto Vallarta. I did a ship tour there and it was great - but we got back a little later than scheduled.

I normally use the internet cafe and phones at the cruise terminal, but it had already closed.

I wanted to call my elderly mom in San Diego, to see how she was doing - so I used one of the payphones there at the dock and paid for the call with my credit card. She did not answer - so I left a message - the call was less than 1-minute.

Today, I got my credit car bill and I was charges almost $36 for that call. What a shock!!

If you are in PV - make sure you use the internet cafe and their telephones that is at the terminal and NEVER use those payphones that are at the dock.
