Thread: Acaupulco HELP Needed Please!

We will be on a B2B with Acapulco as our "turn around" day.

We do NOT want to see the cliff divers, city highlights, or anything like that. We just want to go to a beach.

We would like to go to a beach as close as possible to the cruise terminal (Acapulco Bay area, I guess it is) with a beach bar. We don't mind crowded, touristy beaches/bars. In fact ... we sort of like them.

Guess, we'd need a taxi? No desire to walk and cross streets in Acapulco traffic.

Please HELP! Where do we go and how do we get there?

LuLu yes stay out of the traffic. We've been there twice and I've never seen anything like it!!

I'll be in Acapulco on Radiance March 1, just a day after you.

I'll scout things out for you. We'll be in Acapulco by early next week. While we ARE going on one of the ship's excursions, I can ask the guide or even someone at the pier for suggestions.

There's another thread which has information from a guy who works for the Acapulco Port Authority (ACA Port Dude). There may be some information early on in the thread, and, as someone suggested, you should probably email him directly since he doesn't get on CLF's website often enough.

Also, thanks, Char. I read ACA Port Dude's thread when the posts were "on going" and had re-read them before beginning this new thread with my question.

Just sort of thought with all of the "Left Coast" CLF members who've had port stops in Acapulco many times ... someone would know.

Many of us left coasters do not make it all the way down to Acapulco very often. Most of the cruises do not go that far south. We have cruised the west coast of Mexico about 12 times but have only been there 3 times. I can not help with the information you are looking for. I just can not remember much about the port.

We have always taken excursions never a restful day at any of the Hotels. I can tell you that the "DUDE" will respond to you e-mail quickly.
