The best time to cruise the Mexican Riviera

How is October for cruising the Mexican Riviera ?

We are going in February and expect the water to be about 75 degrees. In terms of that I would think October would be optimum. I don't know about hurricanes. Maybe someone else has info.

I have cruised to the Mexcian Riviera twice, both times in October. It is very hot. There is always the chance of a hurricane.

Our MR cruises were in January and February so we had cooler weather than you probaby will encounter. For the most part, the Pacific Ocean seems to have fewer hurricanes than the Atlantic so you should be fine. If there is a hurricane off the coast of Mexico, the captain will just circle off the coast of Mexico, maybe go to Ensenada (maybe also Catalina) instead of the more southern ports. So if you book any indy excursions, keep checking the weather before your cruise, and have the contact numbers handy just in case you need to cancel the excursions during your cruise.

Bring an umbrella just in case the rainy season starts early in LA. Our weather can be very variable at that time of year -- ranging from cool in the 60s to a warm 80s (even the 90s) if the winds are blowing from the east.
