After a while of abscence, here I am. I would like to inform you all, that one of the Mazatlans Hotel association started to have free wifi internet on the Malecon section of Mazatlan. This is one of the main avenues on the beach and they say that there is a signal from Valentinos night club all the day south towards the cliff divers.
So for those who bring their laptops, you can use the internet free now in Mazatlan. Enjoy!

We will be on a cruise in Jan 2010 to Puerta Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo. Which port, in your opinion, would be the best to do a whale watching tour? Thank you.

From what I have heard the best place for whale watching would be Cabo. You can also see them in Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta but Cabo probably has more to see. I am not sure about which companies, but I am sure if you do a search, you will find several good choices. Maybe someone has had an experience and would like to share.

Jamesgang, welcome to the board! Cabo would get my vote too. It was an excursion on the Star but I do not remember the name of the company. Free booze and food though! Since the ship is going there the flu must have passed, hey? One thing I can recommend to you for Mazatlan is to put yourself in Mazatlan Frank's capable hands. He gives a terrific tour!
