Thumbs up Gracias amigos!!!!

Thank you all! We are very happy with Elsie Marie. Plus, we were lucky because she was the last one and a girl. My other two are boys and they are fun! So this is a little nice change.

Thank you all for your nice comments. See you all around!

Hola Frank

Could you please tell me when do they have the actual Bull fights in Mazatlan? Is it only during certain months or days or all year round? What about Jaripeos do they have them often? Thanks for the info We would love to go to one while we were there.
Thanks

Gracias David!

About Bullfights, we had a season years ago from Dec to April but for maybe 3 years no more season. We have bullfights ocassionally now. Maybe 3 or 4 per year.
Jaripeos we have around carnaval and easter, sometimes in between, but there is no exact time either.
I am sorry that I cannot say more, but I hope this helped!

HI Frank

Frank Greetings from Arizona,

It has been a while since I have posted over here.

I am happy to report that now my son, daughter and I are taking Balies Folklorico at our dance studio. For our upcoming international recital we are doing dances from Jalisco....El Gavilancillo , El Son De La Negra, and a dance to a song by Luis Miguel. We are also learning dances from Vera Cruz for the Spring Recital.

My son is also studying the Aztec culture for a report in school.

So we are thinking of going to show in the Aztech Theatre there in Mazatlan while we are there. Do you offer a tour that includes the Folkloric Show and Papantla Flyers??? This would fit right in with the kids studies.

Also, My daughter and I are working on a report about the costumes of each of the Mexican States we will visit on the trip. We will visit Baj California Sur, Sinoloa, Guererro, Jalisco, and Colima. Our dance teacher is supposed to help us with the history of each State Costume. So I will know a lot about the vast and varried Mexican culture before our trip.

Hello Everyone,
Our family of eight + four other family members, just returned from a a Mexico cruise aboard the Diamond Princess. We had a spectacular trip and were lucky enough to get Mazatlan Frank as a guide while we were in Mazatlan. We just wanted to say how fabulous the experience was! Frank showed us everything that Mazatlan had to offer and was super accomodating for our varied group of 12 with ages from 3 to 63. When the tour was over I realized that I may have left a tiny bag of jewelry in the Van. My husband had bought something special for our 19 year anniversary. I e-mailed Frank a day after we had set sail. He e-mailed right back that the guy who cleans his vans had found the jewelry. Due to some local shipping regulation jewelry couldn't be shipped from Mazatlan to me in Wyoming. Just when I was sure it was surely lost forever, Frank found a way! He had a friend headed to California a week later, who was able to send me the jewelry from there. They arrived here to me in perfect condition. I can not imagine someone who would go to such great lengths for one of his customers. We were so impressed with his honesty and integrity, we would definitely recommend Frank to anyone even considering a visit to Mazatlan. Today is Christmas, so Merry Christmaqs to everyone on this thread! Charlyn

Thumbs up Pulmonias

In Mazatlan we have a very unique type of transportation. These vehicles are like Golf carts and they are on the street taking people all around the city. They are called Pulmonias which in english would be Pneumonia. These open air carts originally were 3 wheel and were imported from the US. After the years, the peso had a devaluation and the dollar went up high, so they decided to make them in Mazatlan. They have a VW motor.
You will see other taxis, which are very similar but we call them Safaris. They are almost the same, but they have doors and the Pulmonias, have no doors.
Just wave one down if you need one. But remember, always have an agreement before you get into any taxi in Mazatlan because they do not have a meter.

Have fun and enjoy Mazatlan!
