There are, I think, four different canopy (zipline) tours in PV. If you go to puertovallarta.net you can look at them all. Some go under the trees and one goes over. The one that goes over the tree is La Vista and it is the highest. That is the one we went on. We didn't get any pics so I'll post a couple from that website so you can see it. We combined the tour with ATV's so instead of taking the other transportation up the mountain we drove ourselves. After getting to the mountain road I was glad we had. I would have been freaking out in the back of that truck they were inYou can ride double on one or get your own. Being a serious backseat driver, I knew I'd be screaming at DH all of the way so I took my own. It was great fun, we drove thru downtown PV to get there. It was safe enough because we were all in single file with a guide in the front and one in the back. You are wearing a helmet, googles and a bandana they give you over your face because of the dust. At the zipline location they give you a very thourough lesson on ziplining, much better than the 5 minutes we got in Jamaica. Then you are off. You first do 5 little lines around the top with the 5th bringing you back to the main lot so if you decide not to go further, you can quit there. No one usually quits. A girl we were with was very, very afraid but by the end she was a pro
When you are done, you have lunch and drinks in the little cantina. After finishing lunch you get a tequila tour. A guy tells you all about the different tequlias and you get to taste all of them........................after which you get to drive your ATV back DOWN the mountain
The tour is by La Vista Adventures and I highly reccommend it. The guides are fantastic. I almost booked it online thinking it would be the least expensive but ended up booking it through the Westin where we were staying and it was pretty much the same price. Try it! Here's those photos................remember these are of La Vista, others are lower if heights bother you.
