We want to do the Mexican Riviera. I have several questions.
1. Is San Diego better to leave from the LA?
2. Is one city harder to fly in and out of?
3. Are the ships of the same class that do the MR out of both cities/ports?
4. Is one of the airports cheaper to fly in and out of?
I haven't sailed out of San Diego. I have flown to both cities and prices can be close. I grew up in San Diego so I would have to say I favor that city. As far as close to the airport there are a lot of hotels and things to do. I would guess the pier is pretty close to that too. (knowing where the airport is) Old Towne San Diego is a great place to go. There is Balboa Park right there. Then you have all the great beaches. And so much more. You have Mission Bay. Sea World, The Zoo......
San Pedro from what I recall cruising out of that port (LA) there isn't anything real close. I flew in and out of the Ontario airport instead of LAX. Ontario was cheaper even with the Limo.

It would be good. I remember roller skating in Balboa Park one time. We went down the big hill out of the park area and were skating my the docks. We had to hire a taxi to get back up the hill.
