I lived in the San Diego are when I was a kid, moved when I was 10, been back at least 3 times, once for my dad's class reuinion and other to visit family.

It is a great place to visit, never got out from the port myself since I've never been on a cruise.

Hills are defiantely around the area and can be fun as Helen talked about. I did that same type of thing but near my house in Spring Valley.

The San Diego airport is only minutes from the cruise terminal.
I cruised from there a couple of years ago and I am cruising from there this coming Oct. There is so much in SD. It is a fantastic city. I am flying in 2 days early this time.

I have sailed out of all 3 So. Cal. ports and found LA to to be the best organized terminal. San Diego drove me nuts! There was no organization. Long Beach has no place for you to sit except outside in the sun to wait until they are ready to board the ship.

It is a gift for the soul; a clarity born of sea and salt air that touches the small inner voice within us that has been too long silenced by the chaos of life. New Questions...

We are going out of LA on the Pride next November. I know nothing about the port of calls that we will be visiting. Please can someone give me some ideas and personal experiences of the ports and excursions we could chose from.

I have been doing research but there is nothing like hearing or in the case reading of what people enjoyed to do while visiting a port of call.
