    Swimming with Dolphins- Puerto Vallarta

Has anyone here swam with the dolphins in Puerto Vallarta? We are booked for this excursion coming up in in just 2 weeks and I'm super excited.

I was wondering if it would be permisable to bring our own camera? I was assuming not, since you are not allowed to bring anything into the water with you and the center, of course, wants to sell you photos of your swim, but I wanted to take some pictures on the way to & from the center and of the dolphin center when I am not swimming myself.

    Any info would be helpful!

    YES

I did the actual swim with the dolphins in PV last October. I have done numerous swim with the dolphins. I have done it about 4 times in Hawaii on the Big Island at Waikoloa Village at the Hilton. I have also done it in Cozymel. The one in PV is very nicely done. The dolphins look to be well cared for, the facility is very clean and the dolphins seem very happy. The one in Cozymel in my opinon was terrible but that was in 2002 it could have changed. I think you will love it. I think it will also be interesting with you being pregnant to how the dolphins respond. I cannot wait to hear all about it.

check out my link below to my web shot pictures and look at the October Oosterdam 2005 pictures. In there will be quite a few from our swim with the dolphins.

    Thanks Lisa!
I'm so excited for this cruise and meeting all of my new CLF friends that occationally I remeber, "Oh, yeah. We have this amazing excursion planned!" DH and I are both SUPER excited for the dolphin swim. We both love animals and dolphins are so amazing. The website for the PV dolphin center is complimentary and they seems to have a great system down there. The dolphins appear to be well cared for and happy.
I'm going to check out your pictures right now!

So Sonja, how did you like it? I'm going in 3 weeks and something else we're going to do is swim with the sea lions at Las Caletas. I'll post pics when we get back.

I was thrilled to hear that there is a place where you can swim with the sea lions!

That sounds like fun With two more cruises booked on the Oosterdam for Dec 15th and Feb. 9th (with localady) I am hoping to go to Las Caletas, swimming with the sea lions sounds like something I would love to do. I can't wait to hear all about this.

Swimming with the dolphins was amazing! Worth every penny!!

When we swam, I was about 28 weeks pregnant. The 2 dolphins in our group that we swam with were also pregnant! They seemed to give me a lot of attention, I was feeling a little sorry for the others in our group, but they all got their chance as well. When the dolphins rolled over exposing their bellies, you could feel the baby move inside her!
