    Question about a restaurant

Roberto, I know you are out of town, but I want to write this question down before I forget it.

What do you know about a restaurant in Acapulco called Su Casa? Namely, is the food good? The owner's nephew Nando lives in Dallas and has talked one of the people on my cruise in October into taking a group there for dinner. We were told that it is in a converted mansion overlooking the Bay and that the view and the food are very good. But are they going to tell us it is very bad? Since you are from Houston, you understand that everything from Dallas must be verified.

    I was given a website
    http://www.sucasa-acapulco.com/
    and a review from Frommer's
    http://www.frommers.com/destinations...co/D39678.html

But only the word of Roberto is to be trusted.

Welcome GFL! I'm glad you found us, and found Roberto's info. He really is the best source on the web for what to do in Acapulco! Keep coming back, because he gives updates.

Thanks for the vote of confidence I just got back from a 2 week vacation at Acapulco.

In reference to your question, I haven't been to "Su Casa" in a long long time, say about 7 years. I remember it was fabulous, huge margaritas and reasonable prices for dinner.

They have many regulars that go for dinner on a regular basis and many repeat guests each year. Since they do very little advertising, it's word of mouth that gets them all the advertising that they probably need,

I called a friend a few minutes ago to ask if it's worth a visit and he said, definitely, and to ask for "Patrona Shrimp" the house specialty.

The view is outstanding, service is also very good and prices make it a very good option.

This restaurant is one of those places that I just forgot about and will probably visit in the near future for a group of friends gathering.

Hopefully I can visit it soon and post my comments, the only problem is that I am swamped at work and wil probably require a few weeks just to sort out all pending matters.

Hope to have answered your question.

Muchas gracias, Roberto! It's great to see you posting again; welcome home! I am not in a big hurry since I don't cruise until October. But it will be great to hear YOUR judgment.

I will probably have a few more questions, but I'll let you get resettled at home and work first.

    Hasta Luego!

GFL, guess what? Roberto is the man that will be bringing your ship in! You need to meet him when you get off the ship. He's usually wearing khaki pants and a navy polo shirt, you'll love him and he can give you lots of help. He might even party with you if you are so inclined
