Hi, we are cruising with Norweign the last week of October and Acapulco is our first stop. I am very interested in the Dolphin Transfer which we can book with the cruiseline for $35.00. Would it be better to do this or would it be easy enough to do this once we are off the ship? Would it be cheaper to do once we are in Acapulco? Also we can book Highlights, shopping and cliff divers for $57.00 or Acapulco City tour and cliff divers for $45.00. Is this to much money or would it be cheaper once we are in Acapulco. Would there be the chance if we don't book with the ship that it would be full? I love all the information that you have supplied. It is of great interest and value. Hope to hear back from you.

For the Swim with the doplhins, you can book it directly from the water park, although I have no idea what the "dolphin transfer" includes, let me know so I can adequatley recommend. If it's a ride to the water park, you're better off getting a cab and paying $12 USD for up to 4 persons each way and the entrance to the waterpark is $5.00 USD.
Swimming with the dolphins costs a bit over $120 USd (approximately) per person for 1 hour
As for the Cliff Divers, City Tour and High Lights you can arrange a driver to take you on a 4 hour tour for USD $25 per person (minimum 4 persons)
At the divers you can watch the show from the restaurant in the afternoon for $12.50 USD per person (add this amount per person to the cost of the tour) that includes a buffet lunch o 2 drinks, or you can watch them from the lower observation platform for $3.00 USD per person.(note, no shade and about 60 steps to get there)
The place usually is crowded with domestic visitors, but, at the restaurant you are sure to have a view, verus the lower platform, you will have to be lucky to be up front, other wise you'll see the show standing behind someone.
If you want to try the swim with the dolphins email Fernando for a quote.
Roberto, I will be in Acupulco in November for a Carona convention at the Hyatt. Any comments on the hotel are welcome. Would like suggestions for restaurants for dinner. Would love lobster one night and one night a spectular view. Also, what tours would you suggest? Divers, dolphins, whitewater rafting, fishing, what to do?

Hyatt is a one of the better hotel's in Acapulco, the rooms are nice and the view is imppresive.
For a great dinner, view, I defintely recommend Kooakburra awesome view and the food is very, very good.
For tours, depending on how much time you will be in town; try first day dinner at Kookaburra at say 8pm, then head to the divers for the 10:30 show, have drinks at la perla.
Next day go to swim with the dolphins at the CICI waterpark, watch the dolphin show at 1pm, then go to Ocean riders for a fast boat thrill.
It's still not fishing season, so avoid this activity. In the evening go to Paradise for a seafood dinner, then go loco and jump from the bungy (optional) or have drinks at Hard Rock Cafe, the live music starts at 11pm.
White river rafting, is a very fun activity and defintely a must do activity, just make reservations.
Just to give you a few pointers, when you0re in town, and feel like having a real fun time give me a call or email me and if I am available, we'll party.
I will be on Serenade of the Seas, and will be in Acapulco next Thurs. (the 20th). Originally the itinerary said we would arrive at 5:00 PM ship's time. Now the Royal Caribbean website shows us arriving at 11:30. So my question to you is when to we REALLY arrive? Is it possible for you to check?
Thanks to your review, a group of SEVENTEEN of us are planning to go to Su Casa ( el restaurante, no su casa, so you don't have to worry) for dinner. But first my husband would love to see the Fort San Diego, so I hope the new time is right.
Is there something you would like from Houston that can fit in a suitcase? Let me know this week!

Muchas gracias for all your help
The official scoop is that they are arriving ahead of time at 11:30 as mentioned, the problem is; that you will tender in to port untill 4pm, then the Serenade will proceed to berth after the sailing of the Carnival Spirit.
And whooosh, I thought I was boing to have to make a feast for all 17, the problem is the only thing I can cook are hard boiled eggs (and I burn them sometimes)
Hopefuily everything will work out just right (we have some tender float problems that we are addressing)
And thanks for the offer, I really wanted to get the new nano ipod;but it's too much of an imposition on my behalf, probably anything you can crunch into a suit case, something cool.
Hi Casual Cruiser, I am trying to get in touch with Cici Waterpark to see if I can book Swim with the Dolphins. I would rather book through them then the cruise line. Would you know how I could reach them?
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
