How drunk was I ?? and you let me drive you back to the ship, LOL.

Just kiddin', we had a lot of fun, I recently went with a group from the Disney Magic and we got hammered, still have no idea how I got back to the ship.

Trust me te-kill-ya and vodka shooters don't mix and we had 3 trays full.

Hope to see you soon for part II at Sr. Frogs.

Hi MCCruiser,

just logged on to thank you for the recommendation, the place was awesome.

To get thwere you go behind the convention center, and folow the signs; don't worry any driver knows how to get there.

You are greeted upon arrival by a genteleman that his sole purpose is to open the door of your car and ring a bell to let the staff know your going up.

Then you walk up about 15 steps to get to the restaurant, where the staff greets you, the head waiter (we got a table close to the terrace) leads you to your table, you are presented to your waiter (Miguel)

He recommends a few Margaritas, just make sure you get the Margaritas with the good tequila, since they use Cuervo (yuck) ask for either of the following: 3 generaciones, Don Julio or Sauza Reposado.
I started of with a blue margaritasm then asked for the strawberry margariotas, very yummy, but watch out they will creep on you after 4 (I had 5). The margaritas are huge andvery tasty.

We than had a few chalupas, ceviche, and the Patron Shrimp as an appetizer.....OMG, the sauce was to die for, it was so good we had a special order of this miracle sauce with the main course.

My friend had the Fish a La Talla (special blend of herbs and spices) and I had the Patron fish (garlic) since we got a lot of tortillas, we both had fish tacos with the special sauce.

Miguel was on of the best waiters I've had in a long time, funny, knowledgeable about the meals and always on stand by, not checking every 5 minutes to make sure everything was ok, I hate when waiters are 2 feet away and asking you if everything is ok every 2 minutes. Defintely ask for him. He has worked here for the last 17 years and he looks very happy, he told us that the owners Shelly and Angel Herrera are like family.

We did not have any desert, cause we were stuffed....

They have an upper level that is a terrace, very romantic, but due to the chance of rain it was closed yesterday.

They also have a place called stair wasy to heaven, it's about 42 steps to get a better view of the bay, but I could barely walk yesterday. I am still full at this time, and I just finished playing an hour of tennis a few minutes ago.

The place is designed like a typical mexican home.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Su Casa for dinner in Acapulco, here are the email details of the palce and web site.

Feel free to email them for an reservation.

Here are a few pics I took.

Here we are with Joana, my friend from Naval Intelligence.

Joana with Miguel, our waiter. Ask for him, he will make your evening more special, tell him I said Hi and thanks.

The restaurant.

The view.

De nada (your welcome),

I will go back in October to try another tasty meal, I love the concept of a typical mexican home and dishes.

Ask for the Patron shrimp as an appetizer and then try the Mole, just watch out; your stomach may not handle well the spices, I know, cause it took me a few months to get used to the spicey food. The food is great, and clean, but you may haev what we call " gringo stomach" little tolerance to spicey food. So take it easy.

Senor Roberto, I live in Houston!!! If I don't cook everything with hot spices, my husband will eat elsewhere!!! We put some kind of pepper on EVERYTHING!!! I have made mole, but yes, it is spicy!! Yum! I love the combination of chocolate and chilis.

But your warning will be very useful to people elsewhere, for certain.

NOW for my next question:
Do you know what the hours for Fort San Diego will be in October? We will be in Acapulco on Thurs. Oct 20, and our ship, Serenade of the Seas, will not arrive until 5 pm ship time (not sure what time that will be locally for you). I am wondering if we will have time to see the Fort before it closes for the evening.
Thanks again for your help, Roberto.

The fort opens from 9am to 6pm, Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays.

I think you can visit the fort, I am sure the ship will arrive to Acapulco at 4pm and be berthed about 5pm local time. They usually post the time that the ship will be ready for tours and allowing guests to shore.

Hi, we are cruising with Norweign the last week of October and Acapulco is our first stop. I am very interested in the Dolphin Transfer which we can book with the cruiseline for $35.00. Would it be better to do this or would it be easy enough to do this once we are off the ship? Would it be cheaper to do once we are in Acapulco? Also we can book Highlights, shopping and cliff divers for $57.00 or Acapulco City tour and cliff divers for $45.00. Is this to much money or would it be cheaper once we are in Acapulco. Would there be the chance if we don't book with the ship that it would be full? I love all the information that you have supplied. It is of great interest and value. Hope to hear back from you.

Cher
