Hi Sea Otter, It's funny you don't like Cabo Wabo. Everyone just raves about it and when my DH and I went in, we just turned around and left. We didn't care for it either. I guess different strokes for different folks, huh? Did you shop in Mazatlan? That is the best for shopping and I really like the SR Frogs there also.
How nice to know that we are not alone when it comes to Cabo
Wabo.
We didn't get a lot of shopping done in Mazatlan. I bought something in that Sea Shell store but that was about it. We were planning on spending some time at the El Cid Marina but when that backfired we went to Senor Frogs. There were only a couple of people there when we arrived. My husband got into a conversation about a camera with a pax from our ship. A couple of more people arrived and we continued to "have a drink" and ordered some food. We brought our driver in with us and he was enjoying everthing, including a shot or 2 of tequila and some beer. His english wasn't the best but we had a grand time. Our driver took pictures for everyone. I though this Senor Frogs was a very nice place. There was a nice dining area, but we sat at one of the tables in the bar area. We were glad the plans for the El Cid didn't work out.
I want to do the Mex Riveria again and maybe go up the Sea of Cortez.
Hey, Chudley and SeaOtter, I really have to agree with you on CaboWabo. We didn't even have a drink, walked in, walked downstairs, and walked out, right past lines of people waiting to get in (and buy T shirts). We went to the Giggling Marlin and had lunch and drinks and watched tourists hang upside down on the fish hook taking shots....then walked back to the ship.
We HAVE been to Sr Frogs in Mazatlan (probably more times than we remember). We have always had a cab driver waiting for us to get us back to the ship, and we have bought many a round for our ship waiters, etc...it has always been a lot of fun.
We've done Randi's Happy Horses in Mazatlan many times and her tour is well worth it, even if you don't want to ride, you can hang out on the beach and the shore side "restaurant" (Victor's)...swimming, etc, and great, inexpensive food and beer.
As usual, I've talked too long, I tend to get too chatty....
We are a group of 8 who will be doing PV, Mazatlan and Cabo in mid-March and really don't have a clue what to do since none of us are really athletic (as a matter of fact, we have two who can't walk well) and we have some non-swimmers in the group. Has anyone done the ATV rentals? Would that be too challenging for the older members of the group? Horses and bikes are definitely out! Where is the best place to buy a leather jacket for my daughter? Lots of questions still to come and all guidance would be appreciated!

Hey Dobie, tell me more about the option for non-riders. Besides the 3 of us who are riding there are more who would enjoy the beach scene. What is the fee for this? Give me details, details, details

We REALLY liked the Los Veranos canopy (zip line) tour in PV. We did this cruise last year & actually enjoyed all the ports. Have done land vacations in Cancun, PV & Acapulco & have 28 days scheduled there again THIS year--love Mexico!!!
I was reading the paper ( ) today and found that FunJet vacations is running a blog on the status of recovery in Cozumel, Mexico, and the Riviera Maya. So I thought I'd share those with everyone.
