We are The Cruise Duo!

I'm Storm'n Norman from Melbourne, Australia and my partner is Ann from Destin, Florida! We currently reside in Destin on the beach (the sea is only 100 feet away and our bedroom is like being on a balcony on a ship)!!! Oh Yeah!!

We met on a cruise ship (Carnival Valor) in November 2008 and immediately realized that we had one special interest in common.....OUR love for being @ sea!!

I have cruised 66 times and Ann over 25 times! My "trademark" is wearing 'zany' hats EVERY DAY on the ships! In fact, I take a separate suitcase with my hats on board the ship!!

To give you an idea as to how much we like cruising, we were @ sea in 2009 for over 125 days! This included 2 Transatlantic Crossings, 4 Caribbean, I Norway, I Mediterranean / Greece and 1 Baltic Northern Europe cruise! That year we spent 5 months in Europe (taking the Transatlantic crossings each way saving air fares) and spent time in Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria and France!

We are both keen photographers and on that European trip took over 45,000 photos!

In 2010, we were @ sea for 60 days (Our schedule was interrupted as I had to return to Australia for heart surgery after collapsing on a tour in Iceland whilst on the Grand Princess Transatlantic which I was allowed to complete).

This year is another BIG year of cruising (to date 70 days) with already 2 cruises Caribbean completed and another 4 booked (Panama Canal, Alaska, Transatlantic & Mexico) including 2 on the new Carnival Magic.

I want to say that this site is a refreshing change to 'other' cruise sites and we look forward to contributing and making 'new' friends along the way!

We enjoy organizing independent cruise tours and FUN event and activities on EVERY cruise we take.

I look forward to learning from the 2 of you about the places you've been. It looks like you enjoy doing different kinds of tours in ports than the usual ones led by the cruiselines, and I am VERY interested in that as well. The testimonials you received from other cruisers for your tours in Torshavn and Reykjavik sound very interesting.
