Hi, all!

I would like to thank Pat Shouldice, Mike Jablonski and Pete Peterson for giving me great quotes on and off the board for my recent article on cruise fuel supplements.

Oil wallops cruise costs

Surging oil prices have cruisers and travel agents up in arms over the rising cost of cruise vacations. In 2007, cruise lines from Azamara to Windstar provoked passenger ire by charging fuel supplements of up to $10 per person, per day. Adding insult to injury, several lines attempted to collect the fees on pre-existing reservations and fully paid bookings. With oil at two-year highs, cruisers once-bitten are feeling twice shy about the inevitable return of fuel supplements.
