Have been busy teaching classes and making cards for soldiers overseas. I have a wonderful group of volunteers who have been helping me make cards the last few months. Last week we shipped about 500 cards to a unit in Afghanistan. The cards are blank on the inside so that the soldier will have space to write a note home to friends and family. We filled in the nooks and crannies in the box with wrapped hard candy (has to be able to survive the heat there, so no chocolate).
If anyone has new unused cards (can be handmade or purchased) that you would like to donate, please let me know. They need to have an envelope with them and NO GLITTER. If you have used cards that the card front is usable, we will take those too. We repurpose them and create a new card.
Cards for any occasion are needed (birthday, congrats, thank you, sympathy, thinking of you, Happy Anniversary, wedding, baby, etc.). The only holiday cards right now that we can ship are for Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years. We've already shipped for Halloween and Thanksgiving, so don't need any additional of those.
If you have questions, just let me know. The cards are shipped to a friend of mine who is stationed in Afghanistan at one of the medical units there. She shares the cards with the others stationed there and they go quickly.
