Thread: Owls and friends - New York City, 9/27/07

Since we have so many TA cruisers staying the weekend in New York City after our cruise, I'm starting a thread for us to discuss our activities while there.

One of the things we're planning to do is a dinner cruise on World Yachts on Thursday evening. The cruise will go around the NY harbor and last about 3-1/2 hours. There will be a DJ and dancing and a gourmet meal. The price is $81 pp. Rosie is the contact person if you're interested in joining us.

Rosie is also the one who found us the deal on the Courtyard Manhattan/Midtown East, which is where some of us are staying.

I did and I SURE hope it is a nice hotel!!!!!! I have an extra reservation that I promised Chuck, should he need it and to Ed, if Chuck doesn't. However, I will hold it until we leave in case anyone else needs it and neither Chuck nor Ed uses it!

Rosie - Sinceit's a Marriott I'm sure it'll be nice. I've stayed in them a lot for business and they are one of my favorite chains. I haven't been disappointed in one yet! The pictures on their web site look nice. I'm really looking forward to seeing NYC for the first time.

Garry - The walking tour of the WTC site is definitely something we want to do. I've heard it's an incredibly moving experience.

Hi friends,

Could you guys give me the hotel info and dates. Not sure if I'll be able to make it up as early as Thursday. I may have to come up on Saturday (need to figure out school schedules, etc). I'm thinking of leaving Emily at home with Dave and Sophie and coming up with my Dad. I thought it would be a nice time to hang and bond with dad and the owls. (not that I don't love being with DH and DD)

Does the Marriott have any more space available? If not, I may have to get on the waiting list for that extra reservation.
