Thread: New Suggestion for LA meet-up!!! July!!!

Hey all....I have a great suggestion for a summertime meet-up! There is a horse ranch in Hollywood. Every Friday night they have sunset horse rides through the Hollywood Hills. You end up at a Mexican restaurant for dinner, and then you ride the horses back to their stable. The ride is about 90 minutes each way. We did this about 2 or 3 years ago and had a blast!!!

Here are the details:

Where: Sunset Ranch, Hollywood
When: Date TBA based on availability
Time: You have to be there by 4:30pm, signups are a 1st come-1st served basis. The riding begins at 5:30pm
Cost: $60pp for the ride + whatever you purchase at the restaurant (meals range about $6-12)

So what does everyone think? DH & I are looking at doing this again this summer anyway, but it would be more fun with a group!

That sounds like soooo much fun! I've never heard of that before.

I guess I might be in. Would depend on when in July as I am going on vacation then as well.

Also, hm... 4:30 on a Friday. I would have to see if I could get off of work early.

Alisa...when's your trip specifically? I wouldn't recommend this for August as it'll get too hot, but June/July is usually a good time to go.

Jodi, do they only do it on Fridays? DH usually works until 9pm on Fridays. I'm off on Fridays so it would work for me. I could try to find a sitter for my DS so I could go.

They have rides all during the week, but Fridays is the only day you don't need reservations and it's a bit cheaper ($60 vs. $75 with reservations up to a party of 10). Fridays works for me and my DH during the summers as he's off work and I don't normally work Fridays anyways.

Ok..so I could probably go ...just me though..and I could find a sitter for my son..

ummm...the only Friday I wouldn't be able to do would be July 14th. We'll be driving out to Rosarito for my Cousin's wedding that weekend.

You should just schedule a time that works for you and Dan and then I'll see if I can make it. I would still need to get off of work early. I don't think that would be a problem, but then again, you never know.

I agree that $60 is much better than $75!

Continue adding names to the schedule (copy/paste into your reply) so we can keep track of who can go when...I realize that not everyone will be able to go, but I'd love to be able to see as many of you as possible!!
