You can reach the Grotto with motor boat or via bus or taxi from Anacapri. To enter the low opening to the grotto, you must lie in the bottom of the boat as it is rowed in.

Thanks for the info but the thought of my dear Mum lying on the bottom of a boat, well...

I think I'll have to find something else to do.

Hii everyone. I am new here. My wife, daughter and I are going to the Mediterranean on June 25th on RCCL's Legend of the Seas. It has a great itinerary. Has anyone else taken this cruise? We have tours reserved for Naples/Amalfi/Pompeii, Kusadasi (Ephesus) and the Vatican. We are trying to decide on a tour for Egypt, from Alexandria to Cairo. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Mark

HI Mark. I answered you at your Introduce yourself thread also but I goot thing cant be mentioned to often.
We did cruise onboard the Legend OTS last June. Not to Egypt but around Italy and Croatia.
We loved the ship, small and intimate.
I did make a trip report about our experience, you might want to look it up at the Trip Report forum.
Which tour and with who have you booked Amalfi?? The Amalfi coast is the most beautiful coast in Italy. Acually, we did go back to Amalfi in November.

We will be on the Voyager TA in Nov, spending three days pre-cruise in Barcelona.
We did the same cruise last year with the 7 day before, just a great trip.

We are also looking at the 7 day before the TA again this year, a new port has been added, Marseilles, and we would like to visit the others again--have to wait to see if we can take that much time again

We did the 7 days Voyager cruise a few years ago. Great trip, great ships and I would go again since I am addicted to Italy
Marseille is nice enough. Not much there unless you venture outside into Provence.
