lars i know of two other tours that are offered.

the camel trek/bedouin village. they sometimes tie this one up with 4 by 4 trip.

the other is snorkeling on the red sea with egyptian barbie thrown in as well.

From Alexandria we are doing a one day tour to Cairo and the pyramids.
What we are doing in Port Said I am not sure of yet.
Snorkling in the Red Seas sounds very tempting but a bit cold as we are in Egypt December 4 and 5 However, do you know if the camel trek/Beduin viillage is offered out if Port Said??

lars it will be 25/ 27 c when your in port said, i've been to taba that time of year and the water won't have cooled down then.
i think they offer the camel thing out of there yes.

don't be tempted to stay in port said, the place is awfull.

Will you have to make arrangements for a Visa for your visit to Cairo? Will everyone on-board have to have a Visa?

I think the ship collects our passports and arranges for the Visas. I am not sure though so best check with the Egyptian Embassy.

lars if they don't you can pay at the port of entry, similar to turkey for us in the u.k. it's £ 10

So RCI will let us on-board in Barcelona without a Visa for Egypt and I don't need the Visa if we are staying on-board in Alexandra and Port Said.
