Thread: Athens or Venice? Help

i'll agree with you about rome not being the cleanest city, but neither is athens believe me on that. boils down to what you fancy.
both are weekend destinations for us rome2 1/2 hours. athens 3 1/2 hours away. agree with you about corinth though, good destination in itself.

To have two destinations like that only 2 1/2 hours away. For us here in Dallas Houston, San Antonio, and Amarillo are 6 hours or more away by car, 2 hours away by plane. And in all three cases we would still be in the same state!

that is by plane neil, barcelona is 2 hours. as is venice,nice/monte carlo.
driving paris is 5hours, brussels/ brugge 4hours.

we go to northern france and belgium on day trips . our daily newspapers do special offers quite a lot out of main season. 2 people and car $40 return. it's worth it for the shoping... but the euro is bad for us at the moment.

Venice, hands down.
