    Med cruise in January?

We are going to be in Europe next January and would love to go on a cruise.

We've found a cruise that goes around the Med, but aren't sure whether it will be worth going on a cruise at such a bad time of the year.

We are second-time cruisers but will be going with a couple of first-timers.

Any information as to what the weather/seas/length of day etc will be like would be greatly appreciated.

Aussie - you can get historical weather averages for your ports at Welcome to The Weather Underground : Weather Underground

Can't tell you what Jan. will be like, but we went in mid-November.. weather was 50's-60's, cloudy, but it didn't rain much. It was jacket weather, but we enjoyed it.

    Hi Aussiecruisergirl,

I live in Spain and hopefully I can answer some of you questions.

The temperatures in January are usually around 15C to 18C during the daytime and can drop down to 5C during the evening.
The sun rises around 8am and goes down around 5pm.
January is normally not the best month for travelling if you care about sunshine and nice weather as it does change from day to day. Its a very unpredictable month. I have yet to experience storms here in January mind.
As for itinerary I would say...If you draw a line from Barcelona and across the entire Med...anywhere below would be my best bet for a pleasant cruise weather wise.

Hope I could be of some help..
