Thread: Weather in the Med

We are booked on a 10 day Oceania cruise from Barcelona to Athens on August 11th. I am assuming that it will be pretty hot. I really love hot weather myself. But I was wondering what the weather is like in the Med in August. Is it comparable to the Carribean?

Hi, Chud, we are going in June which should be hot but not unbearable. July and August are just too hot for us now although we used to holiday in Greece and Cyprus in July when we were working. September is nice too but October can be a bit iffy. Greece tends to shut down in October. Now wouldn't it be nice if you booked the same cruise as us????

Hi Flo, It would but I think we have vacation plans for 2007 already sort of set and they don't include a cruise The one we are thinking of will be about the same time in 2008. DH wants to do some land based things in 07.

Jeff, it would be a riot I'm sure but we can't in 07

We are hoping to cruise the Med in 2008. What is the weather like there in May? We were thinking about May or Sept. Which is better???

May will be slightly cooler but both are nice.
Sorry you won't make the Med in 07, Chud. We may catch up someday!
