    Mediterranean Secrets?

What are some things that you saw/experienced while on your Mediterranean cruise there were unexpected? What secrets can you share? What are considered not to be missed sights? What sights were hidden treasures that you weren't too sure about before going, but now are glad that you went and saw? What is considered way too overated? What did you see or learn that you never heard of before you left?

Sicily was a very pleasant suprise!! I had no expectations and Loved it. Taormina cannot be missed. Also toured areas used for the filming of the Godfather. Beautiful country, not to be missed.

Also loved the wineries in Santorini. Make this one of your purchases when visiting. The whole process of growing grapes is different than anything else I have seen.

Terry, thanks for the info. Unfortunately, my cruise doesn't stop in Sicily.

And as for Santorini, while the wine sounds great. I don't drink at all and neither do my parents, so I guess buying wine doesn't do us any good

Have lunch off the ship while in the Greek Islands. The fresh fish and salads cannot be beat and are also very affordable.

I agree about Sicily. I didn't know what to expect and I was totally delighted with everything I saw...I didn't want to leave!

If you go, be sure to visit the Greek Theater above Taormino.

We had a lovely little lunch of Fruita del Mer on an outside patio with a view of the port in Villefrance after our tour to St. Paul du Vence. It was a lovely day and quite a surprise as was our wonderful day in Taormina!!
