    Maui??

With an overnight in Maui it's been hard to get a final game plan. There is so much to do and I guess that it will all depend on if we get up early to go see the sunrise on top of the summit at Haleakala. We have decided to have dinner at Mama's Fish House during sunset on the last evening and then drop the rental car off on the way back to the ship.

    What are your ideas?

Just me again ... posting some links I found:

Maui Activities - fun things to do on Maui at a discount - Maui activities for less money.

Maui tours - Maui attractions and fun things to do - Helicopter tours, boat tours, eco-tours and much more - Hawaii tourist activity Information.
Glass bottom boat tour sounds fun if you don't snorkel.

I'm really surprised at the number of tours listed that state NOT recommended for people with heart or breathing problems. They must be going to quite an elevation.

Did you know there is a sugar museum there? Located next to Hawai‘i’s largest operating sugar mill, the museum exhibits the history and heritage of the sugar industry and the multi-ethnic plantation life it engendered.

I have to recommend the Maui cruise charters to Molokini Crater, Turtle Town, and other premier Maui destinations. Many of the tour companies offer morning and afternoon trips, however the morning is best for the full cruise experience. The activities include snorkeling, snuba, scuba diving, and even a water slide and shower on the larger boats. A few of the cruise charters also offer incredible Maui sunset cruise trips that are great for couples and photographers.

A few other Maui hot spots:
    South/West Maui beaches
    Road to Hana
    Wailea Resorts
    West Maui golfing
Haleakala sunrise (totally worth it but be prepared its a long journey and sometimes really cold. bring a camera with lots of film/memory cards!!)

Mama's Fish House is only of my favorite restaurants. You will love it! The food! The view! The high prices! Don't forget your wallet. But the cost is worth it...it's a great place. Don't forget your camera either.

Where did you find a car rental company that is open after 5p? I really would like to have the car til about 9p so we don't have to rush going to Hana on the second day...

We are a party of 5, me, hubby, our 5yr old son & friends. We are 47 & 52 and our friends are last 20's.

On Maui we are going snorkeling at the Black Rock, eating at Jimmy Buffet's Cheeseburger in Paradise, Drums of the Pacific Luau, explore the road to Hana and shopping.

There is the Black Sand Beach and if the waves are good on Maui North shore, there will be surfing.

I'll be meeting some friends that live on the island.
Not sure what we'll be doing but I'll be in good hands.
