Would you book a New England Cruise in the Summer

Last year there was atleast one cruise that was supposed to go to the Bahamas that went to New England instead.

I was thinking about alternatives to the Carribean during the summer. Europe and Alaska are obvious choices, but I was wondering if anyone would actually book a planned New England/Canada cruise during the summer?

I don't know much about the area other than that the attraction of these cruises in the fall is the changing colors, but would a cruise to the same ports be much during the Summer?

    Hi,

A couple of years ago, we took a short cruise (5 nights) . We went to St Johns and Nova Scotia. It was during June and we enjoyed it. I have been looking for one this summer but have not found one yet. It was a bit too chilly to use the pools onboard, but the solarium was nice. The downside of that is that if there are a lot of kids then the solarium can be very noisy. But we knew that when we signed up. Kids will be kids and when in the pools they will be having fun and that includes splashing and noise (as it should be). Children are allowed in the solarium pool when it is too cold for the outside pool. Definitely would go again, but want a bit longer one. Looking at the Jewel of the Seas for this next year since this year does not look promising. One night though it was so foggy, the ships' fog horn was going all night long. I loved Nova Scotia and Peggy's Cove was absolutely gorgeous. Loved it and never before had I ever seen such a gorgeous deep blue sky. The cruises to New England and Canada during the summer are not plentiful. RCI was doing a 9 night Caribbean, then a 5 day NE/Canada up thru last year, but not this year. I think they will be doing that again next summer.
