I was thinking the same thing... That's about the way I felt when we were hit head by Donnaa in 1960, when I was in Jr High..
I thought it was great fun . . . but I didn't have to worry about keeping my family safe... my parents were doing that.
It was not me, but my Dad, and older brother and two neighbors who risked their lives to go outside at the height of the storm and steer the roof of the carport that the storm tore off into the pool so it wouldn't kill anyone.
I didn't have to bear the economic worries of partially rebuilding our home... that was a problem for the adults, as was the loss of income because of a business closed for days.
My worst worry the inconvenience of a lack of power ... and stepping around some 'wet spots' in a couple of rooms . . . other than that, I was free to marvel at the awsomeness of the storm... It was a great few days off school -
