Hey Wendy!

We were in 1390, which is the same as yours, only ours was on the left side of the back where yours is on the right side. We loved it! We were actually on the Mariner's sister ship, the Navigator, but the layout is the same. The balcony is larger than those on the side of the ship.

We were on a transatlantic crossing and it was a perfect balcony for whatever the weather happened to be. Rainy days we could sit back under the overhang and enjoy the ocean without getting wet. Sunny days you can move the loungers or chairs out into the sun to enjoy the warmth.

The "hump" or "bump" is that part of the ship that bows out like this ( ) The balconies in that area are slightly larger than the balconies along the straight part of the ship.

Where will you be sailing?

Hi Charlene,

We are really looking forward to this. We will be going to the Mexican Rivera. The ports we have been to quite a few times. Being that we have been there already it gives us time to relax and enjoy it. We have been to other itinerarys and at times we had trouble finding "cruise friendly" hotels. When is your next cruise? Would you sail with a D1 Cat. again?? I have read that some people were dissapointed with the JS on the Mariner.

Hey Wendy

Yes, we would book a D1 again...we have had several D1s. We have also had junior suites on the Voyager, which is a sister to the Mariner.

Actually, it is just a larger room with a great walk-in closet and a nice bathroom. It isn't a suite that has 2 seperate rooms like most folks think of when they think "suite". In my opinion, they should rename it and just make it the top balcony cabin right below the suite category.

You can see our next 2 cruises in my signature! In February we will be on the Freedom of the Seas in an aft balcony going to the Eastern Caribbean (we live in Florida so we get our cruise "fix" by sailing the Caribbean) Then in May we head to the west coast for a 13 day Alaska cruise on Radiance of the Seas.

Hi Charlene
Like I said, we are really excited about this cruise. We are going in 1-10 and we made our final payment on the first! How did you get access to the signiture and stuff like that...I can't find it. I sure would like to start a countdown clock as well.

Wendy, the countdown clocks are broken at the moment, however there will be some changes coming in the not too distant future that will have all of our options functioning again.

To find all the options, such as signature and avatar, etc, go to the navigation bar up top just under the CLF banner.

Click on UserCP and a menu will appear on the left side of the page. Check 'em all out to see what is there. One of them is "edit signature". Just follow the directions.

Hello Charlene, Hello everyone. Charlene, you sent me so many helpful hints regarding CLF. Thank You. I figured that I better thank you now because I will be trying all of your ideas and I know that this will take me a while. We are not going until 1-10 and perhaps I will figure this out by then. lol. Is anyone considering the pig flu vaccine?

Hello Charlene Hello everyone. I hope that eveyone is having great Sun. We are just counting the days for us to start packing I thought that I would sit down, take a moment or two and use the helpful hints that Charlene gave me to use CLF and now the dogs started barking! Is anyone else going on the Marniner on 1-10 I know the ships capacity is in the thousands.... and know that we are not sailing alone

Hello Charlene, hello everyone. I started a new thread on roll call. It is not a very active board. The last post was in Sept. and before that, it was years ago. When we sailed on Visions in 06 it was a very active board. When we sailed on Carnival...it was almost non-existant. We will see.
