So this is a case of the earlier is NOT the better.

As I said before, each Consulate has a different form and set of rules. You must do what your Consulate wants or the visa will be denied.

ex: One Consulate required proof of the yellow fever shot, the others did not.

You must have 2 blank pages in your passport and it must not expire before 6 months of entry into Brazil.

Wow, so you have to have good timing. Not only to get the application and everything else that's required to their office and back before your cruise, but not too far in advance so the visa expires before your trip.

In it, I used Brazil as an example.

The next day, I saw Paul's remarks about Visas and Brazil.

Evidently RCI is treating this cruise as a big deal and are loading boxes of stuff to hand out during the cruise.

Well....it IS a big deal! Look at how many are sailing for more than one leg!

Wonder what kind of goodies you will find in your cabin throughout the cruise?

She may remember me from the ds's Cruising Jewish thread and the Mariner roll call for 6/19/09 (the OP for that roll call and another there who had organized a non-official group cruise -- CC's prices would have been higher than what they were able to get so they didn't go that route -- were both on my last cruise and were trying to get me on this cruise).

I know that there are plenty of West Coasters who are thrilled that this ship will be doing the MR itinerary.

But first - we have some members on a MEGA-Cruise around the horn - and Paul is going to sharae it all with us!
