Hi!! my bf and I are taking that one! I'm pretty excited about it as this is our first cruise. Where are you coming from? I am going to start checking the excursion list after the first as I want to get everything planed out.

mel - congratulations on booking your first cruise!
The Mariner is a big, beautiful ship, and you're sure to have a great first experience aboard her!

We're not far... takes us about 12 minutes to get to the pier from our driveway. How far away are you?

I am excited about the stop in Labadee, as that is the only port we've never gotten to see.
We were aboard a cruise that stopped there in 2005, but didn't get to go ashore there, as my hubby spent that day in the ship's hospital... but I hope to get there this time.

The other ports are all wonderful.

We've been to Ocho Rios only once, but had a wonderful guide there and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We've cruised to Cozumel a couple of times and Grand Cayman on several occasions.

We are up in Ohio, so it's a 2hr flight for us. I can't wait! I'm more excited about this and doing research about this than I am going to Vegas in Feb. I was joking with friends that when I get to Ocho Rios, it's gonna be a day of laying on the beach and doing nothing....lol

    Maybe . . . maybe not.
Have you heard about Dunns River Falls? It's something most people just don't want to miss when they visit Ocho Rios.
Beautiful! This is a waterfall that empties right into the Caribbean, and has a semi-gentle 'stair step like' fall - not straight down, like some. Climbing the falls is a very popular activity....
How many people do you know owho can say they have climbed a waterfall? YOU could be one of them!

Got word yesterday that Brother and SIL have booked this one, too!
They will be in an atrium cabin... I've never seen inside one of those, so this will be a good chance for us to see one.

We have a balcony cabin. We are doing Vegas in Feb. and I'm more excited about the cruise than I am going to Vegas. I know when we booked, my travel agent asked what time we wanted to do dinner, so I picked the 8:30 seating. The next time we go, I want to get on one of the ships that has the <thinking of the name....> the wave pool where u can learn how to surf. My bf wanted to do that sooo bad....

We always do late seating for dinner.
Tried the early (main) seating once, and didn't like it, as it seemed to make our afternoon feel rushed.
