I heard that there is talk at RCCL about selling/transfering the Majesty of the Seas to Pullman. I am just wondering if anyone else has any real info about this. I know they're moving ships around but why would they sell a ship the just put so much money into a few years back? Why not Monarch or another one of the ships that's showing wear & tear? Maybe I'm biased because Majesty is my favorite ship. Any Info would be helpful. Thanks!
I think I also heard/ read something about this somewhere, though I can't find anything about it on the internet anywhere.
Maybe we just had the same dream one night...
I have not hear about this yet. But Pullmantur (A Spanish Royal Caribbean company) resently sold one of their ships, the Oceanic, and I was waiting for which ship they would transfer, if any, to Pulmantur.
It is not made official yet which, if any, ship will be transfered to Pullantur Cruises.
I think I did read in the Shipsmonthly magazine I have sent to, that they will be transferring her to Pullmantur. The Empress that Pullmantur now owns was originally owned by Royal Caribbean International.
I think this will happen after the Oasis of the Seas is delivered though.
But I am nt sure.

Pullmantur IS a Royal Caribbean company and almost all the Pullmantur ships are either transfered from RC (the Empress, the Sovereign) or Celebrity (Zenith). The ship the Ocean Dream is an old Carnival ship (the Tropicale)

I have no hard information on this, but CAN tell you that we were told by the Captain of the Sovereign, just before she was transferred to Pullmantur, that ALL the Sovereign class ships would most likely be transferred out of the Royal Caribbean fleet over the next several years.
We lost the beautifuil Sovereign of the Seas to Pullmantur in late 2008.
This means that - logically - following the Sovereign (the oldest in that class, maiden voyage 1988) the Monarch of the Seas (maiden voyagaae, 1991) and the Majesty of the Seas (maiden voyage, 1992) would be in line for being transferred out soon.
It makes sense, but I will hate to see the Majesty go. It was the first cruise ever for my kids.

Well, it's been a little while & still no word on whether or not Majesty is safe from transfer/sale.
I really hope it was all a bad rumor.
