    Post Maine Institutes New Cruise Ship Wastewater-Dumping Rules (RedNova)

    By Tom Bell, Portland Press Herald, Maine Dec. 29--Cruise ships that visit Maine in 2006 will be prohibited from dumping wastewater within three miles of the shore unless they can meet the same water quality standards as municipal treatment plants.

    Before I read this, I thought it was probably much ado about nothing. Now after reading most of it, I haven't changed my mind.

    Not many crusies go by Maine in a year.
    They weren't going to dump "gray water" within 3 miles any way.
