I took a tour through Acadia after I took a morning kayaking excursion.

You can go to Acadia on your own without taking a ships tour. There are plenty of tourist buses that you can buy tickets for at the pier that do good tours and are cheaper than what the ship offers.

Bar Harbor - another favorite port.

Have been to Acadia National Park. One time we booked to have lunch at the Pond House - thought it would be nice to have alobster lunch and celebrate DH's birthday. Two weeks before we lefyt, got an e-mail from HAL - tour cancelled - Pond House wasn't to be opened on the day we were scheduled to be there.

Love the quaint shops.
