    Smile Maasdam - December 9, 2007

I just booked this cruise and wonder who's going with us? According to my TA the ship is almost full already. We were on the Maasdam out of Norfolk last October and loved the ship and the crew!

Hi Earl M., I'm sure you'll love the Maasdam. We liked it so much the first time, we booked it again. First time we've ever done the same ship twice.

Hello, I will be sailing on 9 Nov. on Maasdam. Can you tell me how cabins are on the lower promenode deck outside? I'm worried about people walking by my window and not being able to see the ocean.
How is the ship over all. I have never been on HAL.

Hi Soldiergirl and welcome to the board! You can see the ocean from the lower promenade and during the daytime, people walking by can't see in very well. If the lights are on at night, I'd keep the curtains closed. This will be our second cruise on the Maasdam and I think it's a lovely ship. Easy to navigate; not crowded, staff is friendly and helpful. I think you'll really enjoy your cruise!

My husband and I just booked the Maasdam for the 29th of Nov. I've never been on HAL but many of or friends and relatives have and just love it. We too are on the promanade deck. We are so looking forward to this trip. We have had a very busy summer and one of our sons' just got married at our place a few weeks ago. So we are more than ready for a holiday.
