47 year old lady died on the Liberty this morning

    Statement from RC..............

We extend our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the 47-year-old female guest from the United States who died on January 30, 2012. The guest, who was sailing on Liberty of the Seas, missed a step while going down the stairs and fell. The ship’s medical facility provided initial care after her fall, but regrettably, the guest passed away while onboard.
A member of our Care Team is providing support and assistance to guest’s family and friends. Our thoughts are with their family and friends, and we will continue to do our very best to assist them.
Liberty of the Seas concluded its four-night sailing in Port Everglades, Florida on Monday, January 30. The sailing included a port call to Cozumel, Mexico.”
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Holy cow. I wonder if she hit her head when she fell? So very sad.

How horrible. That's why you should always use the hand rail on the stairs.

How true! I even use the hand rails at home ... especially going down. A good reminder for all of us. Too bad it's at this woman's expense. Feel so sad for her family ....

And, sadly, this lady was not the only one. There was also a 26 year old man who fell and died on the Carnival Fantasy this past week. He was from South Carolina.

Yes, very disturbing...makes me feel that I should walk slower if someone behind me looks unsteady, so they could fall into me...or possibly ask them if I can help them down the stairs...I wish they would have taken the elevator.
