Congratulations on changing your cruises to ones that are more compatible to your needs

The itinerary looks good. We have been to Dubrovnik and to Split on a land trip and really enjoyed the country that was then Yugoslavia. Have you been to those places before?

    Thank you Char!

You know, when we where on the Voyager last year we almost booked this very same cruise. But for some reason we didnt and look now, we are sailing on it!!!
I have been to all the ports exept Split. So I am looking forward to that. Split looks like a nice medival city.
I think the ports are exellent. Overnight in Florene (livorno) and Venice.
Portofino is picture perfect, one of my favoriites and Taormina (Messina) is also a beautiful spot.

We are flying in the day before ofcourse staying in Civitavecchia the night before the cruise and 3 days after in Rome. The thing now is to find a hotel that doesnt cost as much as the cruise...LOL

    I'm a good listener Lars.

No more shopping to do? You are quite prepared, then.

Well Char, I do have to pick up a new suitcase but apart from that we are almost there.

But there is one thing I keep worry about.
For Croatia I dont need a Visa but Arnaldo, with Cuban passport and Spanish Residencia card, does.
We called the Croatian embassy in Madrid..3 times acually!! and the lady there told us that Arnaldo does not need to apply for a visa as we are arriving with a cruise ship.
All that need to be done she said is to fill out a form and pay euro 10,- at the port of Dubrovnik.
I asked if she could send the papers to us so we had them ready filled out when we check in for the cruise but she said there is no need as its a very simple and fast prosedure.
People do this all the time.....
So we should be ok right??!! I dont know why I keep "worrying" about this!!!!!

Did you talk to the same lady all 3 times? Maybe you could speak to someone else to get a confirmation.

That being said, I do know that on some cruises to some countries you do not need a visa if you are going on a ship sponsored tour (St. Petersburg, for example), but I have no experience with Croatia & visas....especially with the nationality differences.

Does Croatia have a web site that you could check, like the US government has for immigration?

I think I spoke to different ladies and they all said the same and sounded very sure. They didnt have to look it up or anything.
There is a web site but its not too clear.
Anyhow I am going to call one more time just to make sure it hasnt changed lately. You never know.
