Thank you. That is an awesome quote, I might be passing that along to some people!!

Now, my goal is to get my G/F to register for a class or two.

sk8erguy1978 - You need to read this article!

After the introduction, it talks about shopping for a while, but the, about halfway down the second page is a really neat account of the author's experience with the Dragon's Breath Flight Line.

Wow!

Personally it looks like something for people who like to do stupid stuff for adrenalin, like me

Yes they have parasailing. My friend and her DD did it last November.

That does look like fun. I am terrified of open air heights though. I think this must be like diving off the diving board for the first time. I was so scared but once I did it once I was hooked. On second thought, maybe I do not need to try this if it is $70 pp.

I knnow what you mean . . . It takes a LOT to get me to spend 70 bucks on an excursion. This one MIGHT... but I'm not quite sure yet. Gues it will depend on just how 'flush' I am feeling when we FINALLY make it there.

Me too and here I thought I was cheap. I am not sure this would be worth $70 for me to do. I refuse to do Parasailing. I am way too scared of that. My husband loved it but said it was not worth the fee. He did it with his father when we were at Castaway Cay.

My 22 and 19 year old children did it in August. Loved it, an absolute highlight of the trip. Listen: Book the earliest possible group, way in advance. It sells out, and it does not have a great capacity. It takes several hours, in fact most of the morning. If you are not going but are with someone who is, meet them on Dragons Breath beach (picture). This beach is lightly used until mid day or later and easy to get to. From the tender walk straight across the pennisula. You will also pass restrooms and the equipment rental place and will thus know where everything important is. Lunch is served nearby and there is a fun Haitian market nearby also (both of those would be at the end of the beach at the right of the picture attached)

It is not cheap, but then again, what in life worthwhile is?

Picture is looking towards the start of the zipline, you can see it if you look closely at the left.

Listen to the instructions. A lady we watched had a severe crash and bounced back 1/4 of the way because she did not slow down her approach.

In fact, the day we were there, everyone that was on the line furthest from the beach went too fast so if you like thrills try to get that one.

Another highlight of Labadee for us was the fire eater display and dance. Make sure you take a few dollars for tips. If you are lucky (?), like my son, you will be drawn into the fire eating dance. I did not have my camera with me at that moment and will always regret it.

At the Haiti markets you will find real Haiti stuff, however it is best to understand that they mass produce it in Haiti for essentially pennies a day. We bought some art and love it, one is a depiction of Columbus ships arriving at the island you are on! They will say they made it, and they sort of did (think of a huge team project, doing art by numbers). Be supremely prepared to haggle. Be supremely ready to be assaulted with offers and come ons. If you are not interested it is easily walked around.

Lunch is served for no charge by the crew of the ship and is the usual good buffet type of stuff.

Equipment rentals are expensive. I recommend you bring your own snorkeling equipment if you are going to do it for more than a day on the trip.

Some one asked about rafts. We rented them but did not use them much and for the cost wish we had rented one or none. The water is very pleasant, there are plenty of beach chairs.

Canarymoon - I think I am doing the Para-Sail. I believe in the three c's to a great relationship and this is the time to use them...

Compromise,
Commitment, & Communication. This one is compromise, I know she wants to do the Para-Sail more then the flight line. Hey, I got to pick the cruise and dates, least I can do is let her pick an excursion right?

Anyway, thought you might enjoy this, on RCCL website they now have videos...

Also looks like price is up to $80...
