For anybody considering the Dragon's Flight zip line on Labadee, here is a picture of the view from the top of the platform...just prior to launch. I, my wife, and our 14 year old son did this on 12/19/07 while cruising on the Explorer. LOVED THE ZIP LINE!
...and another, with a view of the Explorer of the Seas.
Wowsers! What a view!
This is something I have been thinking I would like to have the nerve to try . . . but just looking at your PICTURE gives me second thoughts. Sure is beautirul, though.
Oh my gosh! Dave were you at all apprehensive
looking at that landing spot so far away?
Heights don't bother me too much. In my younger years I did far more risky things...say, like skydiving.
My wife was the most aprehensive, but she loved it and was glad that she tried it. They take the time to train you before you "fly". They even have a much smaller zip line, called the Baby Dragon, where they teach you the basics before taking you to the summit. At no time did I feel as though I were at risk.
Here's another pic...

I am thinking about doing a zip line on my next cruise.
I am not sure if the pictures help or make me more nervous about it.

I think I haver pretty much decided not to do it. But, big brother is trying real hard to get over his appendectomy (with complications) and some other medical stuff before we cruise so he can do it.
He is such a daredevil - always has been, even when we were kids.
