Thread: Locking up camera, etc. in Labadee

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a place on Labadee to lock up our valuables while in the water? Like a locker or something?

Sharon, maybe you might want to just take a disposable camera on the island. You wouldn't have to worry about someone taking it.

Just a thought.

Get waterproof holders for your seapass, too. That's about all you need there besides money for drinks

I'm not sure this what you are looking for however I have done a Google search for underwater camera cases. There are several, rancging in price from about $30 on up. I plan to purchase one for our up coming cruise so I can take the valuables in the water with me. Just a thought

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping there was an actual locker set up, like in a gym. I've already decided I'm taking the Sony with me. I like the images it captures better than a disposable. Maybe I won't venture far into the water, if at all. I just want to capture some nice shots of this beautiful spot. I got some last time, but I want even more this time!


I'd love to have found a good-quality, reliable bag for my camera, but I started searching too late (just last week). Those in the scuba shop locally are $90-130. Yikes! Of course, if it means saving an $800 camera then it's worth it.

That's a good price, I've seen the same one else where on the Internet for much more.

Sharon, I don't know how close you are to Santa Fe or Albaquerque. I f you are close enough you may find this one under a different brand name in a camera shop in one of those towns.

That's an great idea, dad. I'll try to check in Abq tomorrow. Tomorrow's my last trip into town before we leave on Thursday at 5:45am!
