One thing that is NOT free on Labadee is WATER!

From the Labadee RCCL Passenger Sheet ....

Fresh Water: Water in the restrooms is NOT intended for drinking. Drinking water is available by the glass at all bar locations. (Note: There was a charge for a glass of water.)

From what I could tell they actually sold it by the bottle (like on the ship) ... but would give you a glass of ice to go along with it.

At the BBQ lunch there was free iced tea and fruit punch. You could also get a glass of ice (just no water) at the BBQ.

Wow, water was not free? I'm going to remember that! Maybe bring my own bottle if they will let me.

Good info guys, thanks!

From the Labadee RCCL Passenger Sheet and signs in the restrooms ....

Fresh Water: Water in the restrooms is NOT intended for drinking.

Sort of make me think ... ... if I can't drink it, may be best NOT to wash my hands in it since my hands are likely to touch things that go into my mouth!

I used the ocean water ... then, the hand cleaner/anti-bacteria I carry around ....

Was this silly? What do YOU think?

Lulu, when it comes to your own health, don't ever feel bad about being extra cautious.

That said... they just want you to know that the water has not been filtered properly so you probably shouldn't drink it. As for hand washing, it's OK. You wouldn't stay in Mexico for a week without washing your hands, and we know that water there is not safe for drinking. And to think the ocean water is clean is a pretty far reach.

It's always a nice idea in any public space however to use some hand sanitizer after wards. Nothing like washing your hands and then touching a filthy door handle on the way out of the restroom.

RE the ocean water in the contect that Lulu mentioned it.

It's always been my opinion that, unless you are in a poluted area, the ocean water is actually naturally purer and healthier than the chemically treated water that comes out of most taps, anyway.
