Just came back. Excellent stop, one of the best we've had in three cruises. Get yourself a map on ship before hand and figure out the layout. Don't go to the first beach, it will be very crowded because a lot of people will not walk the very short distance to the other side. We bought our kids zipline rides before we boarded (I understand they sell out fast although they are not cheap). Kids loved it. We went directly to the beach that the zipline passes over, excellent beach, Dragon's Breath I think. Bring your own goggles and snorkel, RCL overcharges for them! We had lunch at the BBQ next to Dragon's Breath beach (if that is the correct name for the zipline beach) and there was a fanatastic local show put on by a fire eater. Make sure you take your camera, my son was asked to dance and stick a fire stick in this dude's mouth, and I had no camera and will always regret it! Beware of the vendors. They all sell the same stuff and I believed the first guy's statement "I am the artist". Well him and 7000 other artists all do the same work I guess. And haggle. They start high and will end very low. Some of the stuff is fantastic, plus how many times are you going to visit Haiti?

    HI AGAIN
Trying to attach some pix of Lab-adaba-dee.
The map is easily available onboard at excursion desk, it is a full size color brochure that says Labadee on the front and has the map inside.

The most imposing view of the zipline is not available until you are leaving the island by ship (unless you are awake when the ship comes in to the cove it anchors to); if my kids had seen that before hand they might have had second doubts; but they really enjoyed it.

I don't want to scare anyone but on the zipline the line that is furthest from the beach is the fastest; we saw a lady nearly get hurt because she went considerably fast through the braking springs into a stop and then rebounded a long way; she was OK but it could have been uglier. They know something is hinky about that line because the guys who manually set up the braking springs have to put that one way further than the other lines. It also has to do if you stick your legs and arms out a lot.

That all said, my kids would have done it over and over, but alas, at that price once was all they get!

You are probably kidding, but Labadee is not a place to stay on the ship! San Juan maybe, Freeport, Miami maybe, but Labadee is an excellent island visit, your seapass card buys you booze on the island if desired, the lunch is provided, negotiating with the locals is fun but can be easily avoided if you are not interested, the fire eater is amazing, zip line is incredible, swimming and beach is great. Plus it is one of the easiest and fastest tender set ups I've seen. Come and go when you like.
