What should I do in Key West?

I`ll probably be going there the first week of June on The Carnival Imagination . What bars or beaches would you recommend? I was planing on going to Sloppy Joes just because of the history there. Where only going to be at KW from 7:30 to 2 though so I won`t have much time.

Key West is not very big --- you can walk the main drag and see scores of bars! Most are open to the street and have music blaring. Prices are higher than on the islands, but it IS a US resort town!

You will have a lot of fun there, as will hundreds of other folks! The streets get really crowded from time to time, depending on how many ships are in port.

Check out this link for a little info.

Here are links to the Sloppy Joe's menus.

No one under 21 years of age allowed in bar after 9:30 p.m.

We've been to Key West so many times, that we prefer to get out of Key West and see other islands in the area. We love to rent a Harley and do a ride up the Keys, stopping at a favorite beach (Bahia Honda), or going to a favorite seafood restaurant in Islamorada, or go scuba diving near Marathon.

But if you've never been to Key West, it's definitely al hoot!! As was pointed out, it's not very big, so you can walk everywhere.

One thing you might like to do is to go on a jetski tour around the island. Takes about 2 hours and is not very expensive, but lots of fun.

I`am a huge Hemingway fan , I`ve read most of his books, but I`ll probably be the only person of my group that will want to go see the house so I don`t know. I may go alone an then meet then at Sloppy Joes later.

    Thanks for all the help!

Don't forget that the 7:30am time is the scheduled time for docking, not the time everyone will be able to get off the ship.

Thats true, I didn`t think of it that way. That means we`ll have even less time...I wish we could spend more time on on the islands.
