About LinkBacksPlanning a TA cruise that will be from Harwich to Boston. Has anybody ever done an aft cabin on the open seas like this? Love aft cabins in the Caribbean, but worry about being in an aft cabin in rough weather. What are your thoughts?

YESOk seriously..........let me tell you how rough the Pacific was coming back from Hawaii.............gale force winds and 25 ft seas.......I wouldn't do it, but we've had this discussion.
Other ideas or thoughts from posters??
I love aft cabins too, but on a transatlantic only if I could bring sandbags!! I would get a cabin mid-low!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
We would probably go for it! If there's going to be bad weather, it will probably affect me equally wherever I am on the ship. All of the balconies on this ship are sheltered at least part way by the deck above, and most of the turbulence is up front I believe, so I think you are pretty well protected on an aft balcony.

We too love the aft cabins. We have an aft cabin on deck 8 on the Transatlantic this year. Will let you know when we get home how it went! HOping that this early it won't be too bad.
Oh Judy!! Good for you!! Bring the Bonine and really enjoy it!!! It will be fantastic at night with all the water, moon, starts, and heat lightening!!!!!

Judy, wishing you a belated Welcome to CLF! I hope you've had enough time to look around and see that we have a great group of people here.
I'm looking forward to see more posts from you, including those when you get back in the states from your Transatlantic.
Let us know what ports are on your itinerary, and if you have any questions about them. If we can't go with you, at least we can dream!
