We booked this cruise when we were on the Valparaiso to San Diego cruise in May. The ports it visits look great! We are also looking at the Independence of the Seas TA in April that ends up in Southhampton. That way we can get round trip air. I spent 90 days in the Azores in 1957 with the Air Force and wanted to see it again with my wife.

Hi Dick and welcome aboard. If you look in my signature, you'll see a link to a website my DH (bob278) has set up for this cruise. We have a great group of people sailing with us!

Hi Dick, we were also on the April 26th Valparaiso to San Diego cruise on Radiance. In fact, we started out in Buenos Aries........so we did a consecutive cruise.

    Nice to have you aboard.

    Hi Eveyone

Just found this site thanks to the thread. Hey Patti, how's the gramma to be? Our twins are doing fine and I'll be going to Seattle at the end of August to see them.

We are really looking forward to this cruise as well as the Baltic. I can't believe the roll call is so large already.

It's very hot in SE Texas - wishing for Fall.

Hi Sandy and welcome to CLF! Bob and I are looking forward to meeting you and Del. We sailed the Baltic a few years ago and loved it. I know you're going to have a great time.

Hey Sandy.......I didn't know you were a CLF member. This is a much friendlier site than you now where.

Grammy is doing very well and so is new granddaughter. She lost 3 ounces since Monday's arrival but that is to be expected. She makes the cutest faces when she's sleeping. She has a full head of black hair.................BUT...........all the undergrowth is very light. Wonder if she'll be a blond?

Glad to hear that the twins are doing well. I bet you are looking forward to your trip so you can hold them.

    Just found this site

Just found this webpage thread after searching many sites for information on transatlantic cruises. I have read the cc thread some 50+ pages witha wealth of information. This thread appears to be somewhat an extension of that one.
I am curious however at the reference of "watching p and q's". Is the other site less tolerant than this one? I am interested in particpating but don't want to offend anyone with my questions.
DH and I are considering our first tranatlantic and thought we could learn from everyone posting. We have sailed Jewel in the caribbean and love this class of ship. Being part of an organzed online group is interesting.

Hey Kathy! Welcome to our friendly cruise community!

To answer your question about the difference in Cruise Critic and CLF...yes we are more open about what we allow to be discussed here. You may mention your travel agent (even post a link to the agency) You may mention other cruise forums but cannot post links or invite members to a different forum.

Look around and explore our many forums here. Our members love to talk cruising and no question is too trivial. If you don't know the answer to something, ask away!

Drop by our Introduce Yourself forum and say Hi! Here is the link --> Introduce Yourself!
