Question Sandals and Breezes in Jamaica

In Jamaica ....some cruise lines offer shore excursions to both Sandals and Breezes.

Has anyone been to either?

Sorry -- it's been quite a while since we have been on a HAL ship that stopped in Jamaica.

Most all-inclusive resorts offer day passes - you definitely don't need to purchase them through the cruise lines. In fact, I recommend against that idea.

We've been to the Sandals in Ocho Rios - was not impressed. Haven't been to Breezes there, but they usually tend to be a little nicer than Sandals.

We do this every time when we're in Ocho Rios, but we much prefer some of the nicer all-inclusive resorts for a fun day away from the crowds.

I tried to respond to you privately about this, but you're not accepting private messages. I prefer not to mention the resort we go to in a public forum - hope you understand.

I have never been to any resort while in port on a cruise but I have stayed twice for a week at the Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica. LOVED it!Great people, food and service; I would imagine that if you had the entire day to eat, enjoy the pool, beach and bar then you would get your money worth. And I thought it was a beautiful area of Jamaica with a relaxed atmosphere.

I believe there are 7 Sandals scattered throughout Jamaica. So it depends which port you are going to...but of the 3 in Montego Bay, I liked the Royal Caribbean one the best (we visited the other two) My friend Honeymooned at the Dunn's River Falls location in Ocho Rios and enjoyed it but it is much larger than the one in Montego Bay. You can see some pics of the beacha nd grounds in my webshot album if you want to get an idea.

I have done the Falls and now the Margarittaville beach day, so next time I am in Ocho Rios I will definitely get a day pass at a Sandals

Gosh, THANKS, Mandy! Didn't know there were 7!

Seems you feel any of them would be OK. We'll probably do which ever one is offered by the ship because it's easier for us that way ... if you feel that all would be all right for the day.

Really have and do appreciate your help. We like doing all inclusive resorts for the day.
