    Palermo as an Independent

Greets one and all...am terribly excited about our first mega-ship cruise in about three weeks. We have a full day in Palermo and I prefer independent travel...can any one tell me best ways to get from the ship to town? Better still...anything that you would consider a must see? Thanks!

Thank you!! I've been going a little nuts trying to find info, but you know how web searches can go...the website looks pretty informative.

The ship will dock close enough to the town for you to walk.

WARNING! There is a very busy and wide road to cross just outside the dock gate. Be very careful, some of the drivers are just a little mad.

Cruises booked: Queen Victoria August 2012 and Queen Elizabeth December 2012.
