Hi, Dobie. No, my daughter knows I'll be on her case if she's not nice. She's on the impulsive side (that's one big reason, besides saving money, that we don't get a balcony) but she's very friendly to adults and little kids. In fact, we went to the new student orientation for her new school tonight and she went up to the first adult she saw and introduced herself. Turns out to be the principal.

She's certainly not allowed to press all the buttons in the elevator (she'll even try to hold open the door for people running to it) or even run around in the hall at 3am like we've been hearing (you read that review too).

I remember the awful experience you had in the pool. The parents of those kids should have been told off by the Princess staff.

Thumbs up Awesome Trip - Had A Ball

Hello - I have been away from the boards for awhile....We returned from our Hawaii Cruise on the IP and absolutely love the trip. The seas were a little bouncy but I had a patch on and had no problems, I actually took it off after the 2nd day and did not wear it again.

Food was great, yes some things were better than others but on a whole I would rate the food at about an 8+. You have to remember if you are not to fond of the dish than they will get you something else. We had a excellent Head Waiter Daniele, waiter Noel and assistant waiter Levee. We had 2nd sitting table 132, they would always entertain us with either a joke or two, magic tricks and they shared their family pics with us. Now that brings back wonderful memories when we first started cruising back in 1984, when the waiters always were doing something for you. Daniele would make us special pasta's for appetizer's and on 3 occasion we had fresh proscuitto and chunks of parmesan cheese sitting at our table when we arrived. We ate at the Bayou 4 times and had a waiter by the name of Johnny B who was fantastic. The steaks and oysters are the best I have ever had.

The few shows we did make it to were just okay, we are not show going people. We did go to the Wheelhouse and Explorer's Lounge for dancing just about every night.

Had a ball on Kauai, did a helicopter tour with Safarai they were less than the ship and they did pick us up and drop us off at the pier. Maui we did the ATV's and WOW that was fun...Kona the boys played golf and loved it, sis and I did the Ocean Kayak which was fun but a lot of physical work...Hilo we had already visited the volcano so we decided to drive past there and go to the black beaches and see the sea turtles sunning themselves on the beach...When we departed from Hilo were lucky to be invited up to the Bridge to watch us leave the port of Hilo, had a wonderful time watching them move the ship out to sea...Honolulu boys played golf said it was okay, sis and I rented a car and drove around looking at all the sites were they film Lost. We did find the plane, it is not on the beach anymore but the studio keeps it at this yard. We were lucky to find it thanks to the drive that pick us up at the pier to drop us off at Hertz, his uncle owned the yard where they store the plane... We went down to Turtle Bay Resort were they have done quiet a bit of filming, that was a beautiful spot
I want to go back there and spend a few days...

Well I think I have covered just about everything, anybody have any questions please feel free to ask away. I hope to get pic's on Webshots in the next day or two if any one is interested. Now we are booked for Tahiti in November can't wait....

Deb, glad you had a great time! I would love to do that cruise again.....I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a great deal.....our next one is partial Panama Canal in April on the Coral....we loved the Island so much we booked her twin!! What kind of cabin did you have? On the Island we had a BE on Emerald Deck, totally covered, on the Coral we're in C603, supposedly half covered....the BEs were more expensive than the BAs!!

My Signature Upcoming cruises:
Sapphire Princess 3/20/2010 7 day Mexican Riviera
Avalon Tranquility 10/22/2010 Budapest to Prague, first river cruise

We really did have an awesome time, we were treated like royalty... We did the Coral twice to the Panama, she is just as beautiful as the Island you will love it. On the Coral we were upgraded the first time from AB on the Dolphin Deck to a VS D703 and again on the second time we were upgraded to VS D701 . I am sure you will love it!

Don't know what you plans are for Panama but I can tell you a few things we did. Once we did the white water rafting, fabulous! Next time we went we did the ZIP line, again fabulous! That was done in Limon. Then we swam with the Dolphins in Cozumel and played golf in Jamaica which we have done a few times and we enjoyed that. You will love going thought the locks, it is truely amazing how the whole thing operates.

We have been pricing out our booking on line for Tahiti and I think we can save some money, almost enough to pay for 1 airfare

I have to get back to work, any questions please feel free to ask away..

As far as the 14 or 15 day Hawaii cruise, I can definitely say that Princess has a lot of activities planned for the sea days.
