    Day Room in NYC?

My wife and I are cruising NYC to NYC on Noordaam in March and we need a day room as we dock @0800 and our flight to the UK leaves Newark @1930, quite a few hours to babysit our luggage! Does anyone know of such a facility? Failing that somwhere to check our bags for the day. ( Due to security requirments no facilities exist at the Cruise terminal in NYC )

Bockers.......Welcome to CLF!! You will find a great bunch of cruisers here who are willing to answer or help you to find an answer for just about anything and have fun while doing it too!

Sit back, and look around. ENJOY! We all love cruising!

You may want to ask this question in the ports section of CLF to get a better response. Sorry I can not help.

to CLF!! I do not know of any "day rooms" perse, but I have heard of people getting storage lockers at the Port Authority where they can store their luggage and be able to visit NYC for long layovers such as yours.

You may want to look up the Port Authority and determine what services they have...

    Again, welcome!

Hello bockers, and welcome to CLF!

I saw your question, and thought of how hard it might be to find this out. The US does not cater to travellers as well as other countries. But I did find something that I think will set you on the right path:

This is mostly for people spending the day in Manhattan.

I will keep trying to find a better answer, but this is a start.

Jodi - the Port Authority doesn't store luggage any more. One of the many things that went away after Sept. 11, 2001
