Thread: Newbie Introduction

Hi everyone:

I'm totally new to the cruise scene. Me and my hubby are hoping to take our first cruise in June "06". I've traveled all over the net reading and trying to absorb all the informatoin I can before we book.

This cruise will be a combination of my husband's birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary. We are not rich and we have been saving forever to be able to do this.

We are hoping to sail with Carnival,but again, we have to do this on a budget.

To be honest..i'm not sure what cruise would be good for us since we are "newbies". We were orginally looking into a 3 day Royal Caribbean cruise,but then we were thinking that this maybe the first and last time we get to do this..and we should do it "right". So we were checking into a Carnival cruise that departs from Norfolk,VA(we are in PA,so the drive isn't bad) for either it was 5 or 6 days to the Bahamas...

Welcome Patty, I think if you do a lot of research on the internet you will find some very good prices fora cruise that can fit into your budget. I also think you will find cruising to be a great way to travel and in many cases not nearly as expensive as a Land Based Resort. What you do need to be careful of is how much you spend once you are on the ship.
